What do you want to say about either the biggest mistake you ever made relating to others over the holidays OR the best greatest thing you ever did?

I did receive one tip early on in life worth passing on. If you have issues with family members, do not bring them up on the holiday day itself. It will be remembered as ruining the day. Wait at least 24 hours. Then bring it up and the holiday won’t go down in infamy.

I love doing these interviews and having the kinds of conversations that make me think in new ways.

When I talked with Michael Bungay Stanier this week, there were several parts of the conversation I had to listen back to because the questions he asked ME were so powerful. Not complicated but simple and powerful. Listen in to the call and you will come away with maybe some new thinking about your life work, your passion, your possibilities, your greatness. He defined Bad Work, Good work and Great work. His definition of ‘Bad Work’ made me gasp. “…a waste of time and money. Bad work is the soul sucking waste of time on the stuff you never want to do in your life.” OK. Then he asks, “Do you have the right mix in your life?”

….Have to sit with that one, not sure I want to think about it but, really, I must.
